About Us

We (Susan and Rick) started our woodturning business in May 2004 after talking to some friends about what we could do with all the woodturnings we were making. They suggested that we try our hand at the 4th of July Flea Market in Sumpter, Oregon. From that modest beginning we went on to do many more shows including the Victorian Country Christmas in Pullayup, WA, the Bellevue Museum of Art Show, the CHUN Hill Peoples Fair in Denver, Co. and many others. We traveled across the country to Ohio and back. And did a total of 26 shows in 2005. Whew, were we tired?

We decided to change our business model in 2006 so that we do far fewer shows and have more presence in galleries and gift shops. We have exhibits installed in William's Gallery in Port Townsend, WA; the Ebb Tide Gallery in Gig Harbor, WA; the LinnHeid Gallery in Port Orchard, WA; the Made in Bremerton Store in Bremerton, WA and Armchair Books, also in Port Orchard.

Both of us are woodworkers. Susan does more cabinet work, but I can't drive a nail straight. Once, when I was returning from a Navy deployment, I arrived to find a new side walk, the driveway widened, and a new island cabinet in the kitchen (eat your heart out all you other guys).

We both have careers in computer programming and web development. So we are finding less time to work on our passion, woodturning. Susan is the secretary and Rick is the Vice President of Public Relations for the Olympic Peninsular Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners.
